Saudi Arabia issued emergency warnings on Tuesday regarding a "potential danger" in the cities of Jeddah, Mecca, and Taif. Officials urged residents of these areas to go to safe places and pay attention to safety instructions.

These warnings were issued through the national early warning platform for emergencies and at the direction of the Saudi Civil Defense Organization. Officials have not yet specified the nature of the potential danger.

Instructions to Residents
Residents have been urged to remain calm and are advised to move to the nearest safe place, preferably inside a building or an interior room away from windows, and to stay there until the danger has passed. The Civil Defense Organization has also recommended that people avoid open areas, windows, balconies, and rooftops. Those outdoors should seek shelter in the nearest building or behind sturdy barriers.
Drivers have also been instructed to stay away from bridges and tall buildings if they receive a warning, and the general public is advised to avoid gatherings and dangerous areas, paying attention to the instructions provided through official channels.
These warnings have been issued amid rising tensions between Saudi Arabia and the Houthi group in Yemen in recent days. The Houthi group has carried out multiple missile and drone attacks on Saudi cities and infrastructure during this time, and Saudi forces have responded to these attacks with airstrikes on Houthi positions in Yemen.
