According to local media reports, the airstrikes targeted Houthi warehouses in the Al-Jawbah area, but no details have been provided regarding casualties or damages resulting from these strikes.
Failed Houthi Attempts in Marib
In a separate development in Marib Province, Yemeni government forces successfully thwarted a Houthi infiltration attempt in the Harib area. This action indicates an increase in tensions and clashes between government forces and the Houthi group in the region.
Airstrikes on Houthi Military Facilities
In another incident, media affiliated with the Taiz military command reported that fighter jets targeted a Houthi ballistic missile launch pad at Taiz Airport. Local sources have also reported airstrikes on a meeting of Houthi leaders in the local council building in Khudr, east of Taiz.
The reported strikes come amid escalating clashes between the Houthis and Yemeni government forces. In recent weeks, airstrikes on Houthi positions, reinforcements, and missile launch sites in Taiz Province have also been reported.
Yemen has been embroiled in a civil war since 2014, when the Houthis seized the capital, Sana'a. These events led to the intervention of a Saudi-led coalition in March 2015 in support of the internationally recognized Yemeni government.
