In the message sent on Sunday, Kim stated, 'With deep belief in the victory of the Russian Federation in this holy war to defend national security interests and international justice, I extend my steadfast support to you, dear friend, and the brotherly Russian people.' He also emphasized the close cooperation between North Korea and Russia and the strengthening of the two countries' alliance.

History of Military and Strategic Cooperation
Kim Jong Un referred to the historical cooperation between the two countries and stated that they are 'writing a new biography of the great history of unity.' He also emphasized the North Korean government's determination to 'expand and deepen' cooperation with Moscow, referencing the traditions of friendship, good neighborliness, and mutual assistance.
Relations between Pyongyang and Moscow have significantly deepened since the signing of a comprehensive strategic partnership agreement in June 2024. This agreement includes a mutual defense clause, under which each party is obligated to provide military assistance to the other in the event of a military attack.
These developments signify a closer relationship between the two countries, which have strengthened their ties in recent years due to global developments and shared threats. The leaders of both countries have exchanged views on security and economic issues on several occasions, reflecting the depth of this cooperation.
