China warned against Japan's deployment of strategic offensive weapons, deeming this action a part of regional security threats. Jiang, a senior Chinese official, described these military exercises as efforts to advance the deployment of offensive weapons under the pretext of a "shield" and stated that this poses a serious threat to peace and stability in the region.
Violation of Peaceful Constitutional Principles
Jiang pointed out that Japan has repeatedly violated its peaceful constitutional principles and its purely defensive policy, adding: "The development of long-range offensive weapons and the acceleration of the re-militarization process through military exercises abroad are among these violations." He emphasized that any actions that fuel Japan's military ambitions will only plunge the region into a dangerous quagmire and ultimately harm the country itself.
Need to Respect the Security Concerns of Other Countries
Jiang called for the involved countries to respect the security concerns of other nations and correct their wrong actions. He emphasized that these countries should positively contribute to regional peace and stability through tangible actions. This statement comes at a time when tensions in the Asia-Pacific region, particularly regarding military activities, have increased.
These concerns have reached a peak as Japan seeks to strengthen its military capabilities and expand defense cooperation with allied countries. In this context, China, expressing concern over recent developments, emphasizes the need to maintain balance and stability in the region and warns that any provocative actions may lead to dire consequences.
