In Gaza, 9 Palestinians lost their lives as a result of the collapse of a residential building damaged by bombings, and 14 others were injured. This incident occurred on Wednesday in the southwestern area of Gaza City, and according to reports, rescuers are trying to free individuals who are trapped under the rubble.
Building Condition and Rescue Efforts
The six-story building collapsed due to damage from recent Israeli bombings, falling on its residents as well as tents set up by homeless Palestinians nearby. According to information from rescuers in Gaza, many individuals are still trapped under the rubble of this building.

Rescue efforts began on Wednesday morning, and rescuers are facing a shortage of equipment and heavy machinery. Residents of the area reported that over 60 people, most of them homeless Palestinians, were living in this building, which had been damaged prior to the bombings and had developed cracks.
Increase in Human Casualties
This deadly incident has added to the human toll resulting from the violation of the ceasefire in Gaza. According to the latest statistics from the Gaza Ministry of Health, since the ceasefire began in October 2025, 1,375 Palestinians have lost their lives in Israeli attacks, and 4,686 others have been injured. Based on this data, the total number of Palestinian casualties since the start of the Israeli war in Gaza on October 7, 2023, has reached nearly 74,000, with over 174,000 others injured.
The collapse of this building and the increase in human casualties due to the ongoing conflict have raised further international concerns and highlighted the urgent need for attention to the humanitarian situation in Gaza.
