The Akinci drone (Akinci) belonging to Turkey's defense company achieved its most remarkable success in military tests by targeting an aerial target using the domestic Sangur missile. This flight started from the Chorlu Flight Training and Testing Center located in Tekirdağ Province and flew to the testing area in the Black Sea for military testing.

In this test conducted off the coast of Sinop, the Akinci drone directly hit a high-speed aerial target by firing the Sangur missile. This success demonstrates Turkey's advanced military technology capabilities and the capabilities of the drones produced in this country.

Development and Evolution of the Sangur Missile
The Sangur missile used in this operation was developed by the defense company Roketsan. This missile provides unparalleled capabilities as an air defense system to counter aerial threats. Additionally, the Akinci drone had previously conducted successful tests with Kemankes missiles and Eren multi-purpose munitions.
The company Baykar, which manufactures the Akinci drone, has financed all its projects from its establishment to date using its own financial resources. This company was recognized as the largest exporter in the military drone sector in 2025, setting an export record worth $2.2 billion.
In recent years, 90% of this company's revenue has come from exports, and Baykar has successfully signed export agreements with 39 different countries, including 36 countries for the Bayraktar TB2 unmanned drone and 16 countries for the Akinci drone.
