Lieutenant General Ashraf Salim Zaher, Egypt's Minister of Defense and Military Production, observed the main phase of the strategic command exercise held in the area of responsibility of the Third Field Army via video conference. This exercise was conducted over several days as part of the combat training program for units and formations of the armed forces.
Presence of Senior Commanders
This exercise was conducted with the presence of Lieutenant General Ahmed Khalifa, Chief of Staff of the Armed Forces, commanders of the main branches, and several commanders of the armed forces, as well as commanders of field armies and military regions from their locations. During this phase, a summary of the operational concept and decisions made during the management of the exercise was presented.
President's Message to Participants
Zaher conveyed the greetings and appreciation of the Supreme Commander of the Armed Forces, President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi, to the personnel participating in the exercise. He also discussed with the commanders how to perform duties and make decisions to cope with changing conditions during operations.
The Egyptian Defense Minister emphasized the importance of maintaining the highest levels of combat readiness so that the armed forces can effectively carry out their assigned tasks and responsibilities under all circumstances.
Review of Various Phases of the Exercise
Lieutenant General Ahmed Khalifa, Chief of Staff of the Armed Forces, observed one of the phases of this exercise, which included presenting activities conducted in previous phases as well as reports and procedures related to organizing cooperation among various specialties. He discussed with the participants in the exercise their approach to planning and managing operations and their ability to effectively and efficiently carry out all assigned tasks.
