Following Iraq's decision to close the two borders of Shalamcheh and Chazabeh, the Deputy of Holy Shrines elaborated on the latest status of Iranian pilgrims' movement. This action by Iraq has raised concerns among pilgrims, but the Deputy of Holy Shrines assures that there are still ways for movement.
Movement Through Air Borders
The Deputy of Holy Shrines continued: "Apart from the land borders of Shalamcheh and Chazabeh, pilgrims can continue their journey through air borders. Currently, regular flights to Karbala and Najaf are being operated from Iranian airports, and pilgrims can travel safely through this route."
This official also considered attention to the security conditions and necessary facilities for pilgrims as one of his priorities, adding: "We are working to facilitate travel conditions for pilgrims through necessary coordination and ensure that they enjoy security and comfort."
