On the sidelines of the International Air and Space Exhibition in Egypt in 2026, EgyptAir Ground Services signed two strategic agreements with Rafal Aviation Handling and AuriJet Aviation Services. The ceremony was attended by the Minister of Civil Aviation, Samah Elhefny, who emphasized that the ministry is seeking to attract more investments and expand cooperation with major international companies in the aviation sector.
Development of Operations at Egyptian Airports
Minister Elhefny added: "Expanding this type of cooperation will help improve operational efficiency at Egyptian airports, attract more airlines, and increase air traffic and tourism." The recent agreements are part of EgyptAir Ground Services' plan to expand its commercial and operational presence, based on the experience and advanced capabilities of the company.
As part of the cooperation with Rafal Aviation Handling, EgyptAir Ground Services aims to attract international airlines, scheduled and charter flight operators, as well as private aviation, especially from the markets of the Far East, Europe, and Russia.
Strengthening the Air Transport Network
Additionally, the collaboration with AuriJet Aviation Services is designed to leverage the extensive network of this company in the Middle East, Turkey, Europe, and the Commonwealth of Independent States (CIS) to help increase air cargo traffic, charter flights, and private aviation at Egyptian airports.
These agreements also aim to provide a unified professional contact point for international operators to facilitate necessary coordination regarding ground services, refueling, permits, and other services while maximizing operational efficiency and flexibility.
