These weather phenomena will particularly occur in the regions of Jazan, Asir, and Al-Baha, as well as in the highlands of Mecca and Medina. Experts say the predicted storms could lead to heavy rainfall, hail, and strong winds that will lift dust and sand into the air.
Risks Associated with Thunderstorms
It seems that these storms will not only be accompanied by heavy rainfall but may also cause fog formation in some areas of the highlands. These weather conditions will also affect the southern and eastern regions of the country. Meanwhile, the areas of Mecca and Medina are particularly at risk of moderate to severe storms, accompanied by active winds and dust.
Temperature Forecast and Weather Conditions in Other Regions
Forecasts indicate moderate to heavy rainfall and strong winds in Jazan, Abha, and Al-Baha. Thunderstorms, winds, and dust are expected in Jeddah and Najran as well. Meanwhile, the cities of Riyadh, Tabuk, Arar, and Sakaka will experience stable weather conditions. Additionally, the weather in Buraidah and Hail is expected to be relatively clear to partly cloudy.
In terms of temperature, Medina and Dammam will top the list with temperatures above 44 degrees Celsius. Following them are Riyadh and Buraidah at 43 degrees and Mecca at 42 degrees Celsius. The temperature in Hail will reach 41 degrees, in Arar 40 degrees, in Tabuk and Sakaka 39 degrees, in Jazan 38 degrees, and in Jeddah and Najran 37 degrees Celsius. Finally, Abha and Al-Baha will be at the bottom of this list with temperatures of 30 and 29 degrees Celsius, respectively.
Overall, the weather conditions in Saudi Arabia, especially in the southern and western regions, appear concerning. Residents of these areas should be fully prepared and heed the advice of local authorities. These storms and heavy rainfall may damage infrastructure and disrupt daily life.
