The Ministry of Industry and Mineral Resources continues to support domestic industries by reviewing 1,182 customs exemption requests in July. This action is aimed at increasing the global competitiveness of the Saudi industry.

In a significant move, the Saudi Ministry of Industry and Mineral Resources processed 1,182 customs exemption requests in July 1405. These requests included 7,055 items of raw materials and 13,707 items of machinery, equipment, and spare parts.

Support for Industrial Investors

The aforementioned ministry stated in a statement that these customs exemption services are part of an incentive package designed to facilitate the journey of industrial investors at all stages of the project, from ideation to production and export. The ministry emphasized that the main goal of these actions is to support local industries and enhance their global competitiveness.

According to the Ministry of Industry, the customs exemption services are aligned with the objectives of the national industrial strategy and play a significant role in stimulating and accelerating the growth of the national industrial base. The ministry also announced that industrial institutions can easily access these services through the digital platform "Senaei."

Facilitating Processes and Reducing Costs

The Ministry of Industry and Mineral Resources believes that these customs exemption services will help develop national production and reduce production costs. With these exemptions, licensed industrial institutions will be able to utilize customs exemptions for importing machinery, equipment, spare parts, raw materials, semi-finished goods, and packaging materials.

These efforts demonstrate the serious commitment of the Ministry of Industry to support local factories and create new industrial opportunities in the country. Given the growing trend of industries and the increasing demand for domestic production, such actions can significantly contribute to strengthening the national economy.
