Kurdistan's Gold; Hidden Debt and the People's Plundered Share

The issue of illegal extraction from Kurdistan's mineral resources has turned into a social and economic crisis. Local people are deprived of their share and face hidden debts.

In recent years, Kurdistan has attracted many investors and foreign companies as one of the richest mineral regions in Iran. However, amidst this, there is a bitter and distressing reality: local people not only do not benefit from their natural wealth, but also struggle with hidden debts and illegal extractions.

Hidden Debts and Illegal Extractions

Hidden debts, which are informally and without necessary oversight assigned to private companies, have become a serious problem. These companies ignore the people's share by making unauthorized extractions from the mines, and as a result, the natural resources that could have helped improve the local economic situation are plundered.

Local people who should benefit from these resources are now facing serious economic problems. The lack of transparency in the extraction and distribution of revenues has made it so that many families cannot meet their basic needs.

The People's Share; Plundered

The people's share from the extraction of these natural resources is so minimal that many of them are extremely dissatisfied with this situation. While the substantial revenues from mining go into the pockets of investors and brokers, local people live in poverty and deprivation. This dissatisfaction has gradually turned into a social movement demanding transparency and justice in the distribution of resources.

Ultimately, this situation not only leads to a decrease in people's trust in government institutions but can also fuel social and economic unrest. If officials do not address this issue, Kurdistan may witness widespread protests that will not only affect the lives of local people but will also impact the stability of the region.
