Ayatollah Sayyid Yasin Mousavi, the Friday Imam of Baghdad, in controversial statements, strongly criticized American and Zionist plans that, according to him, aim to re-fragment the region and weaken nations. He emphasized the necessity of the withdrawal of American forces from Iraq, stating that these forces only contribute to undermining the independence and national identity of countries.
Security and Political Threats
Ayatollah Mousavi emphasized that the continued presence of foreign forces in Iraq not only does not help the security of this country but also exacerbates political and social crises. He added: "Nations must decide for themselves, and there is no need for foreign intervention. These plans are dangerous not only for Iraq but for all countries in the region."
The Necessity of National Solidarity
The Friday Imam of Baghdad also stressed the need for solidarity and national unity in the face of these threats, stating: "Only through unity and empathy can we stand against the conspiracies of our enemies." He warned that if nations do not pay attention to their self-awareness and independence, they may fall into the trap of the enemies' sinister plans.
Mousavi concluded by urging all sectors of society to strive to preserve the independence and territorial integrity of their country and not to be indifferent to dangerous plans. He declared: "This is the time for awakening and vigilance. We must learn from history and not allow our destiny to be determined by others."
